TEHRAN - Some 15,000 tons of white sugar have been produced and offered to market by Moghan Sugar Factory this year, manager of Parsabad Moghan Agricultural Organization, Shapour Shekari, announced on Tuesday. He put the value of the sugar and molasses produced by the factory at Rls.25 billion and Rls.7 billion respectively, IRNA reported. Farmers have harvested 195,000 tons of sugar beet from 4,700 hectares of land and delivered them to the Moghan Sugar Factory this year.

The sugar factory has a nominal processing capacity of 5,000 tons beet roots per day.
