Development of Kish Gas Field awarded to POGC

TEHRAN- Development of Kish Gas Field was awarded to Pars Oil and Gas company (POGC), Mohammad Meshkinfam, the company’s managing director, announced.
The managing director said that the development project is aimed at producing 85 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas per day from the field, POGC Public Relations Department reported.
Kish Gas Field, located 30 kilometers off the eastern coast of Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf, is estimated to contain 55 trillion cubic feet of in-place natural gas.
The first phase of developing the gas field was started by Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) and it will be continued by POGC, which is replacing PEDEC.
