TEHRAN – Two Iranian musicians Simon Ayvazian and Babak Valipur will be reviewing the history of classical guitar during a session at the 34th Fajr International Music Festival, the organizers announced on Sunday.

The session named “What You Know about Classical Guitar” is among the sideline programs of the event. 

“I will be delivering a speech on classical guitar and its history, while my longtime student Babak will be playing several pieces selected from the Renaissance and Baroque styles,” Ayvazian said. 

He noted that the organizers should invite great European and American musicians to increase diversity in the festival and make it more joyful.

The festival will take place in Tehran from February 13 to 19.
