TEHRAN – In a statement on Tuesday, the Iranian embassy in Afghanistan condemned the Monday terrorist attack in Kabul, ISNA reported.

“We condemn yesterday’s terrorist attacks against civilians and government buildings in Kabul, which killed and injured citizens,” the statement read.

“We express our condolences with the government and nation of Afghanistan, especially the bereaved families of the victims,” it added.

An hours-long gun and suicide attack on a Kabul government compound killed at least 43 people, Afghanistan’s health ministry said on Tuesday, making it one of the deadliest assaults on the Afghan capital this year.
