TEHRAN- National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) dug and repaired 98 oil and gas wells during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-Novemebr 21), according to an official with the NIDC.

Mohammad Ale-Khamis said the company carried out 126,899 meters of drilling operation during the eight-month period, Shana news agency reported.

The official said that of the mentioned 98 wells, development operation was conducted on 44 wells and workover operation was conducted on 54 wells.

Furthermore, 73 drilling rigs belonging to NIDC were operated during the period, of them 70 rigs were in land fields and three others were exploited for the offshore projects.
