TEHRAN – Presidential chief of staff Mahmoud Vaezi and cabinet secretary Mohsen Haji Mirzaee will be named as government spokesmen, the Arman daily reported on Saturday, quoting an informed source.

“The position of the spokesperson will not be the same as before, it is likely that two cabinet members will be chosen to take the position simultaneously,” the source said.

Back in August, former government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht announced that President Rouhani has accepted his resignation, saying he would focus on his duties as head of the Management and Planning Organization.
