TEHRAN- The Managing Director of Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (known as RAI) Saied Mohammadzadeh announced that transporting loads via railway can save up to $600 million in comparison with road transportation, Mehr news agency quoted him as saying on Sunday.

Addressing the signing ceremony of an MOU on building Jolfa-Poldasht-Cheshmeh Sorayya railroad, Mohammadzadeh said that domestic rail network is ready to add 30 billion tons of goods to its present capacity.
