U.S. 6-month exports to Iran grow 47% yr/yr

TEHRAN- The U.S. exports to Iran reached $59.7 million during the first half of 2018 registering a 47 percent rise from the figure for last year’s same period, the latest report released by American Statistical Association (ASA) showed.

Exports from the United States to Iran stood at $40.5 million during the first half of 2017, Tasnim news agency reported.

According to ASA report, the trade between the two countries stood at $76.3 million in 2017’s H1 while the figure jumped to $94.9 million for the same period in 2018, indicating a 24-percent rise.

The country’s imports from Iran witnessed a two-percent fall in the mentioned period to settle at $35.2 million from last year’s $35.8 million.

Iran stands at the 142th place among the top importers of U.S. goods while it occupies the 132th place among the top exporters to the states.
