TEHRAN – MP Abolfazl Soroush says 200 lawmakers have written a letter to President Hassan Rouhani asking him to change his cabinet economic team.

Soroush said the parliament expects the ministers of economy and industry to be changed soon, otherwise the parliament may impeach them, ISNA reported on Tuesday.

Pointing to the parliament’s rejection of a plan to divide up the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, he said the timing was not right for implementing the plan, and that the Rouhani administration first needs to resolve basic economic issues.
