TEHRAN – Iraqi Defense Minister Irfan Al-Hayali has said the Islamic Republic of Iran has proven its “sincerity” and “honesty” under all conditions, especially during crises, IRNA reported on Monday.

Al-Hayali made the remarks at the Iran-Iraq defense and security coordination meeting held at Tehran’s embassy in Baghdad, where Iranian ambassador to Iraq Iraj Masjedi and military attaché General Mostafa Moradian were present.

“Iran has backed the Iraqi people and government in all crises,” he said, adding that his country trusts Tehran’s good will and “this has laid the ground for promotion of ties in all fields.”
