TEHRAN – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has urged leaders of regional countries to be optimistic about each other to resolve conflicts, Fars reported.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Iraq’s National Security Advisor Falih al Fayyadh in Tehran, where the two sides discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

He also congratulated the Iraqi government on the recent election and expressed the hope that “good outcomes” would come out of the election. 

He added, “We think Iraq will play a positive role in the region.”
