TEHRAN – The Commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base, the central headquarters of Iran’s Air Defense, says his forces would protect the Islamic Republic against any attempts of military invasion by enemies.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Fard said the Air Defense “will not retreat from the revolution’s causes to the last drop of their blood,” Tasnim reported.

Sabahi Fard was appointed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the new commander of Air Defense on May 29, replacing Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili.
