A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Iran’s TIPAX Company and Qatar Post Company for broadening and enhancing bilateral cooperation, the Public Relations Dept. of the company reported.

Facilitating the exchange of postal consignments between Iran and Qatar, paving suitable ways for booming electronic commerce dubbed ‘E-Commerce’ and cooperating in the import and export fields via sea and air routes have been cited as the main objective behind signing this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU was inked in April 2018 between Dr. Mehrdad Fakher Chief Executive of TIPAX Company and Mr. Faleh Mohammad al-Naimi CEO of Qatar Post Company.

In this get-together meeting, the two sides placed special emphasis on using and taking advantage of facilities and infrastructures of the two companies with the aim of facilitating postal communications.

Moreover, it was emphasized that the two companies should make their utmost effort to set up postal relationship between the two countries of Iran and Qatar.

Under the contract, the two sides promised to expand and increase their postal and courier cooperation with each other in the international level.

Increasing synergy of postal and courier networks, providing suitable ground for using facilities of Fakher Holding Company and Qatar Post Company in bilateral cooperation, taking advantage of high potentials and capacities of TIPAX Company in line with materializing objectives of resistance economy and overcoming unilateral sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic of Iran and finally, guiding economic enterprises of the private sector in international arena, etc. are of the other objectives behind signing this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Cooperation and collaborating with the business partner of first operator of Iran private post company and also cooperating with Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA), national and regional market development in the post and logistics fields have been cited as the other objectives of the company.
