Iran, Japan Hold 3rd Consular Meeting

TOKYO The Third Iran-Japan Consular Meeting between officials of the foreign ministries of the two countries commenced here on Wednesday. The aim of the meeting is to exchange views on bilateral consular affairs. According to a statement issued by the Japanese Foreign Ministry, General-Director of the Japanese Foreign Ministry for Consular Affairs Tadashi Imai and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Bayat are leading the delegations of their respective countries in the talks.

The first and second Iran-Japan consular meetings were held in Tokyo in April 1997, and in Tehran in June 1998, respectively. (IRNA)
