TEHRAN – The UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema is underway at the Billy Wilder Theater in Los Angeles.

The celebration opened on April 28 and will be running until May 19, the organizers have announced.

“Negar” by Rambod Javan will go on screen on May 18 and Bahram Beizai’s acclaimed drama “Bashu, the Little Stranger” will be screened on May 19.

The renowned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami’s “24 Frames”, a minimalist film triumph narrated through twenty-four hypnotizing frames, was screened on May 13.

“Blockage” by Mohsen Qarai, “Boarding Pass” by Mehdi Rahmani, “Golden Time” by Purya Kakavand, “The Home” by Asghar Yusefinejad, “Israfil” by Ida Panahandeh, and “No Date, No Signature” by Vahid Jalilvand are among the movies being screened at the event.
