TEHRAN- Iran imported 70,075 vehicles worth $1.838 billion in the past Iranian calendar year 1396 (ended on March 20) which indicates 8.6 percent and 8.4 percent fall in number and value, respectively, compared to its preceding year.

The country had imported 76,715 vehicles worth $2.008 billion in the calendar year 1395, IRIB news reported.

All imported cars received the required permits such as import registration permit from Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO).
