“The Good Doctor” coming to Tehran center

TEHRAN – American playwright Neil Simon’s comic play “The Good Doctor” will be performed at Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center on Thursday.
Mohsen Haj-Noruzi will direct the play, which consists of a series of short plays based on short stories and other works of Russian writer Anton Chekhov.
Mahta Ahmadi, Fatemeh Shams, Sadra Mohammadi, and Mahlaqa Alavi are among the main members of the cast for the play, which has been translated into Persian by Shahram Zargar.
“The Good Doctor” has previously been performed at various theaters in Tehran and several other Iranian cities.
Hossein Rahimi directed the play at Tehran’s Jamshid Mashayekhi Theater during October 2016. In addition, a troupe led by Alireza Babareza performed the play Mashhad’s Eshraq Theater in May 2014.
