Minerals, mining exports rise 15% in 9 months

TEHRAN- Iran’s minerals and mining exports stood at $5.6 billion during the first nine months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2017) registering 15 percent growth in comparison with the same time in previous year, an official from Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry announced in a conference.

Minerals and mining exports stood at $4.9 billion in the same time span in the year before, Mikaiel Azimi was quoted as saying by IRNA.

In term of weight, Iran exported 42.5 million tons of minerals and mining products in the said period, which shows six percent growth from the same time in last year when the figure was 39.7 million tons.
