Iran’s heritage museums host 1 million more visitors

TEHRAN - Heritage museums across Iran attracted one million more visitors over the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21, 2017) in comparison to the same period last year.
“Over 13.5 million have visited museums that are affiliated with the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization during the current year,” IRIB quoted Mohammadreza Kargar, director of CHHTO’s Museums and Historical Moveable Properties Office, as saying on Monday.
Sadabad Cultural-Historical Complex in Tehran and Persepolis in Fars province were among the most popular sites during the mentioned period, he added.
