TEHRAN – Veteran Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Ali Najafi will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 36th Fajr Film Festival, the organizers announced on Saturday.

Najafi’s credits include “Athar’s War”, “Report of a Murder”, “Taher’s Love” and “Zagros”.

He has also made a number of documentary and short films. Najafi is also director “Sarbedaran”, a popular TV series that broadcast in 1983.

The 36th Fajr Film Festival will be held in Tehran from February 1 to 11, 2018.
