TEHRAN- Iran-Spain economic cooperation forum was held at the place of Spanish Chamber of Commerce, IRNA reported on Tuesday.

The forum was held simultaneous with the 1st Iran-Spain Economic Committee meeting and with participation of 200 economic officials and entrepreneurs.

During the forum, Mojtaba Khosrotaj, head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), called on Spanish companies to broaden their economic ties with Iranians, in particular in making investments in infrastructure projects and transfer of technological know-how.

Referring to Iran’s new applied policies for easing international ties and supporting foreign investments, he suggested that to become successful in Iran’s competitive market, Spanish companies are better to focus on modern ways of transferring knowledge to Iran as well as making joint investments and joint products with their Iranian counterparts to meet the demands of secondary markets.
