Rouhani appoints new advisor

TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani on Monday appointed Hamid Aboutalebi as his advisor.
“Considering your commitment, academic capabilities and valuable experiences, you are being appointed as ‘advisor to the president’,” Rouhani said in a letter.
“I wish you success in fulfilling your responsibilities, upholding the principles of rule of law, moderation and ‘Code of Ethics of the Administration of Prudence and Hope’ and serving Islam and the great nation of Iran.”
Mahmoud Vaezi, the presidential chief of staff, also on Monday named Majid Takht-Ravanchi as his deputy for political affairs.
