Sheed Persian Film Festival announces winners
TEHRAN – The winners of the 2nd Sheed Persian Film Festival, which was held in Dallas, Texas have been announced.
“Azar” by Mohammad Hamzei was picked as the best film, while “No Date, No Signature” brought its director Vahid Jalilvand the best director award, the organizers announced on Sunday.
Niki Karimi won the best actress award for her participation in “Azar” and Mohsen Tanabandeh received the best actor award for his role in “Ferrari” by Alireza Davudnejad.
“Israfil” by Ida Panahandeh and “Yellow” by Mostafa Taqizadeh shared the audience award for the best film.
All the winners will be presented with a CloseUp Award in memory of the legendary Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami at the festival’s award ceremony, which will be held in the near future.
The 2nd Sheed Persian Film Festival ran from November 10 to 12.
