Peyman Moaadi on Thessaloniki festival jury

TEHRAN – Iranian actor Peyman Moaadi who was a star of Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning film “A Separation” has been selected for the jury of the 58th Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece.

Other members of the panel are Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir, French sound engineer Bruno Tarriere, Greek actress Maria Nafpliotou and the artistic director of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Karel Och.

Iranian film “No Date, No Signature” by Vahid Jalilvand will also go on screen in the official competition of the festival, which will be held from November 2 to 12.

Starring Navid Mohammadzadeh, Amir Aqai and Hedyeh Tehrani, “No Date, No Signature” tells the story of Dr. Nariman, a forensic pathologist who has a car accident with a motorcyclist and injures his 8-year-old son.

The film won two top prizes — best director award for Jalilvand and best actor award for its star Mohammadzadeh — in the Orizzonti section at the 74th Venice International Film Festival in September.
