Iran’s nuclear chief in Austria for IAEA conference

TEHRAN – Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), left Tehran on Sunday for Vienna to attend the 61st General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Heading a delegation, Salehi is scheduled to deliver a speech to the conference and meet a number of IAEA authorities and top officials from other countries on the sidelines of the annual event.

According to the IAEA website, working toward the peaceful use of nuclear technologies is a priority of the conference.
