TEHRAN – A senior Iranian official said that Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization would pursue the attack on an Iranian cleric by Takfiri terrorists in Mecca during the Hajj congregation.

Hamid Mohammadi, director of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, said Tehran attaches great importance to the security of its pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, ISNA reported on Friday.

Mohammadi stressed that Iranian officials would follow up the case seriously through the Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj.
