TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani sent a message to his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon to congratulate him and the Tajik people on Independence Day. 

“I sincerely congratulate the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan to Your Excellency and the people of your country,” Rouhani’s letter read, according to the official presidential website.

Old, unbreakable and cultural bonds between the two nations are unparalleled and are based on relations between the two countries, his letter further said.
