Iran’s Yazdani favorite to win gold at World Wrestling Championships

Hassan Yazdani Charati from Iran is a favorite to win the gold medal at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in Paris.

The Rio 2016 gold medalist at 74kg, 2015 world silver medalist at 70kg, will participate in the 86kg in Paris.

According to UWW, Georgian Vladimir Khinchegashvili and Turkey’s Taka Akgul are favorites to win the gold medal in in their respective weight categories.

According to the site, 2017 Asia champion Behnam Ehsanpour and 2016 world bronze medalist Moustafa Hosseinkhani are the dark horses at the 61kg and 70kg categories respectively in the competition.

The 2017 World Wrestling Championships will be held in Paris, France from August 20 to 28.
