Iran edged past Montenegro 2-1 in a football friendly as part of preparation for the match against Uzbekistan in the 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Sardar Azmoun gave the visiting team a lead in the 11th minute but Sevilla striker Stevan Jovetic equalized the match in the 32nd minute.

Azmoun scored for Team Melli once again shortly after the hour mark.
