Iran down China in Asian Men’s U23 Volleyball Championship

Hosts and defending champions Iran maintained their remarkable unbeaten record as they managed to beat China 3-0 (25–18, 25–15, 25–18) at the 2nd Asian Men’s U23 Volleyball Championship at the 6,000-seater Rezazadeh Indoor Stadium on Friday.

Juan Cichello’s boys defeated Pakistan 3-0 victory and downed Malaysia 3-1 in their second match.

Iran will rest on Saturday and meet Kazakhstan on Sunday.

The competition are underway in Ardabil, Iran from 1 to 9 May 2017.

The tournament serve as the Asian qualifier for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship held in Cairo, Egypt which the top two ranked teams will qualify for the World Championship.
