TEHRAN – France-based American writer Julien Green’s 1927 novel “Adrienne Mesurat” has recently been released in Persian by Farhang-e Arash Publications in Tehran.

Translated by Maryam Sepehri, the book is about a young girl, Adrienne, who lives with her grouchy father and sick sister, and is in love with the town’s middle-aged Doctor.

Blinded by her passion, she decides to destroy anyone that gets in her way, so she sends her sister to a hospital and kills her father.
