TEHRAN — The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders are not allowed to interfere in the upcoming presidential election, the IRGC chief said on Tuesday, Mehr reported.

Mohammad Ali Jafari stated that all commanders should refrain from joining any of the political factions or groups, interfering in the election, or vilifying any of the candidates.

Regulatory bodies in the IRGC are tasked with making sure no one would interfere with the election, he said, adding they should detect any violation, and strictly disciplining the violators.
