TEHRAN – New findings on Manichean art in China and Japan will be discussed during a session at Tehran’s Advanced Research Institute of Art on February 4.

Iranian scholars Mohammad Shokri-Fumeshi and Sonia Mirzai are scheduled to deliver speeches at the meeting.

Manichean art refers to objects with aesthetic appeal that were made for and used in association with the Manichean religion, a major religious movement that was founded by the Iranian prophet Mani during the Sassanid era.
