Fajr Film Festival to honor producer Gholamreza Musavi
TEHRAN – Veteran producer Gholamreza Musavi will join three other cineastes to be honored with lifetime achievement awards at the 35th Fajr Film Festival, the organizers announced on Friday.
Actor Mohammad Kasebi, screenwriter Farhad Tohidi and cinematographer Turaj Mansuri are the other three honorees of the opening ceremony on January 31.
With a career spanning over three decades, Musavi was the former head of the High Council of the Association of Iranian Film Producers.
“The Red” (1998) and “I Am a Mother” (2012) by Fereidun Jeirani, and “The Battle of Oil Tankers” (1993) by Mohammad Bozorgnia are some of the films Musavi has collaborated in as a producer.
The festival will be running in Tehran and several other Iranian cities until February 10.
