Iran successfully tests new homegrown missile system

TEHRAN – Iran’s air defense forces employed an upgraded version of a locally-made missile system to intercept intruding aircraft in a massive maneuver underway in southern parts of the country.

On the second day of the large-scale exercise on Tuesday, codenamed Defenders of Velayat Skies 7, the Air Defense forces detected and hit hypothetical enemies’ aircraft with Ya Zahra-3 missile system, the newest version of its family which has been paired with indigenous missile Shahab Saqeb, Tasnim reported.
