What’s in Tehran art galleries

* The Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) is playing host to an exhibition of photos by Alireza Shekari.
The exhibition named “The Shining Moon” spotlights the rituals of Ashura, the day when Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions were martyred on the 10th of Muharram in 680.
The exhibit will run until October 10 at the forum located on Musavi St., off Taleqani Ave.
* A collection of photos of body arts by Hajar Salimi Namin is currently underway at the Arasbaran Cultural Center.
The photos have been taken by Hamid Eskandari for the exhibit named “This Is the 10th of Muharram and I Can See the Hands”.
The events of Ashura are the central theme of the showcase, which will run until October 17 at the gallery 1 of the center located on Jolfa St., off Shariati Ave.
Painting
* Paintings by Saeid Siadat is on show in an exhibition at Golestan Gallery.
The exhibit will be running until October 10 at the gallery located at 34 Kamasai St. in the Darus neighborhood.
* Paintings by Hoda Boluri are on display in an exhibition at Hoor Gallery.
The exhibit entitled “Furthest Look” runs until October 23 at the gallery located at 12 Naeimi Alley, North Mirza Shirazi Ave., off Motahhari St.
* An exhibition of paintings by Ehsan Barabadi is underway at Seyhun Gallery.
The exhibit entitled “Stone Garden” runs until October 26 at the gallery, which can be found at 24 Sinai Alley, off Keyhan St. and Moqaddas-e Ardabili Ave.
Sculpture
* Sculptures by Soheil Bastami are on display in an exhibition at Eyvan Gallery.
The exhibit entitled “Transition” will be running until October 21 at the gallery located at 1 Hamid Dead End, off Lesani Alley, Jebheh St., off Mahdieh St., in the Elahieh neighborhood.
