Iranian bookstores reveal “The Secret Life of Saeed”

TEHRAN – Palestinian writer Emil Habibi’s 1974 satirical fiction “The Secret Life of Saeed: The Pessoptimist” has recently been published in Persian by Noon Publications.
Translated by Ehsan Musavi Khalkhali, the book is the story of a Palestinian man named Saeed who becomes a citizen of Israel to survive but in many ways he finds himself a prisoner of Israel.
