TEHRAN – There is good potential for cooperation between Iran and Moldova, Secretary General of the Moldova’s Presidential Chancellery Office Ion Paduraru said.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacifica and Commonwealth Affairs Ibrahim Rahimpour on Friday, IRNA reported.

Paduraru said that there is good potential for cooperation between the two states in all fields particularly in the fields of agriculture and economy.

During the meeting, Rahimpour referred to the history of ties between the two countries, adding that Iran was one of the first countries which recognized Moldova’s independence.
