Book introducing Turkish female writers to be published in Persian

TEHRAN – A Persian translation of a book introducing Turkish female writers and poets will be published in Iran.

The book centers on the literary life of female writers in the past especially during the Ottoman era until the year 2006, the Persian service of MNA reported on Wednesday.

Originally entitled “Edebiyatimizin Kadin Kalemleri” (The Pens of Women of Our Literature), the book was written by Nesrin Tagizade Karaca and is being translated into Persian by Sulmaz Ahmadzadeh. 

The book also contains a selection of the authors’ writings and poetry.

The name of the publisher was not disclosed in the report.

In addition, a selection of stories written by British female writers has recently been published in a book under the title “Stories by British Female Writers”.

Published by the Cheshmeh Publications, the eight stories have been selected and translated into Persian by Nahid Tabatabai.
