Mohammadi appointed new head of Iran’s SEO

TEHRAN – Shapour Mohammadi has been appointed as the new head of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), replacing Mohammad Fatanat.
Mohammadi, who was previously the deputy Iranian finance minister for economic affairs, was appointed to the new post for a term of five years, Tasnim news agency reported.
While his appointment was on Wednesday, he will be introduced formally as the new head of SEO by Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ali Tayyebnia in a ceremony next week.
Meanwhile, Fatanat, who was the head of SEO since 2014, has been appointed as the advisor to Tayyebnia.
