Belgium ambassador, CEO of Tehran cultural organization meet
TEHRAN – The director of the Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality, Mahmud Salahi, and Belgium Ambassador François Delhaye have met at the organization.
They discussed the expansion of art and cultural relations between Tehran and Brussels, the organization announced in a press release published on Saturday.
Emphasizing the role of art and culture in making constructive relationships between nations, Salahi said that it is a good time for the two countries to develop art and cultural ties.
He also introduced the art and cultural capacities of the capital Tehran and said that cultural weeks in the two countries can be of great help.
The ambassador who was accompanied by Paul Dujardin, the chief executive officer of Bozar and also artistic director of the prestigious Belgian art center, hoped for more meetings in the future.
He said that the people of Europe have had no clear image of Iran over the past years, but today they believe that Iran is a country that can institutionalize a constructive culture in the world.
For his part, Paul Dujardin also said that Bozar can act as a bridge to bring the cultures closer to one another and help the artists communicate with one another easier.
