Iranian movies line up for French festival

TEHRAN – Three movies by Iranian directors will be screened in various sections of the 39th Outdoor Short Film Festival of Grenoble, which will be held in the French city from July 5 to 10.

“The Return” by Yusef Hatamikia will be shown in the official section of the event.

The film is about a Christian criminal who asks for a priest at the foot of the gallows but he meets a Muslim seminary student instead.

“The Little Boy”, an animation by Mona Abdollah-Shahi, is also scheduled to go on screen in the Young Audiences Competition while “Save” by Amir-Ali Mirderikvand will be screened in the non-competitive section of the festival.
