TEHRAN – In a tweet on Monday, Mohammad Reza Aref said he will not run for the post of parliament speaker.

The statement by Aref came after he got only 103 votes in comparison to Ali Larijani who secured 171 out of 281 ballots for the post of interim parliament speaker.
