Iranian short film to compete in Spanish festival

TEHRAN – Iranian director Kamal Parnak’s short film “Hasti” will be screened at the 44th Huesca International Film Festival, which will be held in Spain from June 17 to 25, the organizers announced.

“Hasti” is the story of a little girl whose mother’s death becomes the starting point of an inner journey, which leads her to perceive the concept of death.

Films will be screened in three categories: international competition, Latin American cinema and documentary section, and winners in each category will be shortlisted for the Academy Awards.

Selected from over 1700 submissions, “Hasti” will compete with 30 other short films in the international section.
