Universities of Tehran and Seoul to Upgrade Relations

TEHRAN -- The Islamic Republic of Iran and South Korea are to upgrade cooperation in the field of education, this was announced in a meeting between Chancellor of Tehran University Khalili Araqi and his South Korean counterpart in Seoul on Wednesday. The two sides also signed an agreement according to which Tehran University and Seoul University would broaden cooperation in the future.
Araghi was also to exchange views with some chancellors of Universities based in Seoul as well as South Korean deputy ministers of foreign affairs and education. It is expected that four agreements will be signed by the Tehran University and the South Korean universities, said an official in the Iranian Embassy to Seoul. There are now some 120 university students studying the Persian language in South Korea. 30 Students add to this figure each year.
