TEHRAN – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces are capable of fighting with the enemy thousands of kilometers away from the Iranian borders, an IRGC Ground Forces official says.

“Today, all bases of the enemy are within range of our missiles. One day, they used to fight with us near the country’s borders. But today, we can fight with them thousands of kilometers further away,” Brigadier Morteza Miran said in an interview published on the website of the Persian service of the Fars News Agency on Saturday.

He also said that the enemy should be aware that it is not in its interests to engage in an armed conflict with the Islamic Republic because Iran will not give in to “bullying”.

“The enemies should be aware that unlike them that try to stay alive in their calculations, we, based on our religious teachings, believe that we are victorious whether we kill or be killed in the path of God,” Miran explained.

On the capabilities of Basiji volunteer forces of the IRGC, Miran said, “Our nuclear bomb is the Basij because the Basij has the specifications of a nuclear bomb, and, like a nuclear bomb, its destructive power is not controllable. The might of the Basij is infinite.”

They cannot assess the power of Basiji forces to destroy enemy targets, he said, adding that Basiji forces are able to “fire into the heart of the invading country.”
