TEHRAN – Iranian art and culture will be introduced during festivals, which will be held by several Iranian organizations in Ankara, Zagreb and Beirut in the near future. 

 

Ankara’s Atatürk Culture Center will host one of the festivals, which is scheduled to be held form June 27 to July 2.

 

Paintings and calligraphic artworks created by renowned Iranian artists will go on display during the event.

 

Naqqali, a style of storytelling dedicated to epic stories from Shahnameh, and Persian and Azeri music will also be performed during the festival.

 

The Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO) and Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) organized the festival in Ankara.

 

The IIDCYA will introduce books, films and other entertainment products for children during the event.

 

The National and University Library in Zagreb will also host a weeklong Iranian cultural festival, which begins today. 

 

A collection comprising 120 photos of Iranian tourist attractions and collections of artworks including paintings and intarsia works will be put on display in exhibitions during the festival.

 

An Iranian music ensemble entitled Inak will also perform traditional Persian music.

 

Beirut is also scheduled to host another weeklong Iranian cultural festival, which will commence on July 2.

 

The event has been organized by the ICRO and the Isfahan Municipality.

 

Iranian tourist attractions especially those located in the historical city of Isfahan will be introduced during the event.

 

Lebanese people will become familiar with a number of Iranian historical sites, tourist attractions, regional customs and traditions during exhibitions arranged for the festival.
