Iran to sign security deals with Russia, Central Asian states

TEHRAN – Iran plans to sign security deals with Russia, Central Asian states, and regional countries in order to step up the campaign against terrorism, drug trafficking, and organized crimes, Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar says.
Mohammad-Najjar made the remarks in an interview with the official website of the government published on Monday.
The interior minister also said that governors general also plan to activate border markets in order to elevate the economic status of the people living in border areas.
In addition, he said that Iran plans to expand cooperation with Afghanistan and Pakistan in the campaign against drug trafficking.
