Iranian freestyle wrestlers claim Asian Championships

Iran won the 2012 Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships held in Gumi, South Korea.
 
On Sunday, the Iranian team claimed the title with 67 points, bagging five gold medals, one silver and one bronze. Japan and China finished at second and third places with 49 and 46 points respectively. 
 
In the 55kg weight class, Hassan Rahimi claimed a gold medal after defeating Yasuhiro Inaba from Japan. The bronze medal went to Amit Kumar from India and Kim Jin-Cheol from South Korea. 
 
Masoud Esmaeilpour from Iran seized the silver after being beaten by Indian Yogeshwar Dutt in the 60kg weight class. 
 
Mongolian Banzragchyn Bayanmunkh and Japanese Tomotsugu Ishida jointly won the bronze medal.
 
Mehdi Taghavi in 66kg beat Maxat Daulbayev from Kazakhstan and seized the gold. Bronze medal went to Indian Parveen Rana and Jung Young-Ho from South Korea. 
 
In 74kg, Sadegh Goudarzi overcame Abdulkhakim Shapiyev from Kazakhstan. Zhang Chongyao from China and Japanese Takafumi Kojima jointly grabbed the bronze. 
 
Ehsan Lashgari finished at first place in the 84kg, beating Lee Jae-Sung from South Korea. Wu Zijian from China and Naoki Momma from Japan seized the bronze. 
 
In 96kg, the gold medal went to Magomed Musaev from Kyrgyzstan. He defeated Kim Jae-Kang in the final match. The bronze medal went to Dorjkhand Khuderbulga from Mongolia and Iranian Erfan Amiri. 
 
And finally in 120kg, Parviz Hadi beat Liang Lei from China and claimed the championship. Yerzhan Duissenbekov from Kazakhstan and Mongolian Jargalsaikhany Chuluunbat jointly won the bronze.
 
Iran Greco-Roman team had already come first in the competitions.
