TEHRAN - In a message released on Sunday Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed condolences over the demise of Ayatollah Shahabadi.

Ayatollah Shahabadi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, passed away on Saturday at the age of 85. 

Shahabadi was the son of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shahabadi, the teacher of Imam Khomeini and one of the most respected members of Qom Seminary.
